When you want to get someone in the workspace to have a look at something, you can mention them inside a post or a message.
Enter @ followed by the person’s name. A member menu will search for the name in real time. Press enter to pick the one you want.
When you enter @everyone in a post, all the members in your channel will be notified.
The Notifications button will have a red number indicator If someone mentions you in a channel. Press the Notifications button and then click the Mentions toggle to see all the posts that mentioned you.
